Have you ever stopped to consider…

Also, the Gilligan theme song discrepancies.

"The mate was a mighty sailing man..."
Was he? He was a screwup from the word go on the show with everything! Like Charlie friggin Brown everything he touched turned to shite.
Then it continues
"The tiny ship was tossed. If not for the courage of the fearless crew..."
Fearless?? Gilligan? That chicken poop?? He was afraid of his own shadow.

Sheesh :D

In the first season it ended with all the characters except at the very end. It was "and the rest..."
Meaning the Professor amd MaryAnne. They were the only 2 that did anything.
No respect at all.

And who can forget this guy. :pound-hand:

Gilligan trivia. Watch the opening scene of the very first episode. When the Minnow was leaving the harbor, look in the background and the US flag is flying at half mast. That scene was filmed a few days after the JFK assassination.

And then there was the legend himself, Gene Gene The Dancing Machine!

Weird side note: anyone ever read the book or see the film Confessions of A Dangerous Mind? Chuck Barris claimed he was a CIA hitman from the early 60s to the mid 70s. He later retracted the claims as just fantasy and fiction but it always makes you wonder: what if? Lol

Here is a list of talent shows from 1947 to 2001 I found.

While not exactly talent shows, I’m guessing the Ed Sullivan Show and American Bandstand could be included, too.
