I don't understand why more bands like this aren't being pushed like GVF?
That's cool new talent!!!
I just discovered this guy...First group that's heavy enough to suit me in a long time. His originals are as good as his covers....Jorn was tapped by Iommi to fill in for Dio after he passed away....
No kidding, these guys are great. And I don't understand why GVF is even being pushed at all...but that's me.
Anyway, I've been saying it all along - there is fantastic new music being made every day, by new and older bands alike. We need to promote these bands and appreciate what they are bringing to the table instead of always looking to the past like "music was better then, wah"

While I constantly still listen to old music I'm also constantly searching for new music! If we don't accept the new material Rock will be Dead!
I dig this cover. His style reminds me of Queensryche or something of that nature.
Absolutely. And it's not just the brand new bands either. Plenty of the old guard are still putting out viable new music. One album from last year that hasn't been mentioned nearly enough is the new Corrosion of Conformity album:
And the new Children of Bodom album is sounding interesting:
And that's just scratching the surface.

It amazes me how many bands have been making music that I've never heard! I really try and dig to find things.
I really love this Prog Rock band Porcupine Tree.
It's amazing what you can miss if you are not paying attention. I spend the majority of my listening time on music made in this century. I mean, I'll never stop listening to Sabbath but there is no greater thrill than hearing something you've never heard before and wishing you were the one that came up with it.
