Great evening at the brewery

Yesterday we hosted an open brewery night again at the brewery. The last Friday every month is an open night, where we let people into the brewery and serve beer and some nice local food. Every now and then we have some live entertainment, and yesterday was one of the greatest so far. The local metal/doom band Sahg played a surprise set for the people in attendance. For those of you unfamiliar with the Bergen metal scene, Sahg is one of the real great Norwegian metal bands. They have toured extensively around the world, playing big festivals and venues, both on their own and as a support act for bands like Celtic Frost and Opeth. They have recorded five albums on Regain Records and Indie Recordings. They are heavily inspired by 70's metal bands like Black Sabbath. Here's a short clip from their last tune of the evening, "Pyromancer" from their second album, "Sahg II".

Thats great Gahr. Ya it sounded like it was real loud in there.Perfect :)
Naturally it is not exactly a concert venue. We set up a small stage on pallets in our empty bottle storage area. The walls are concrete and our PA system is fairly small, but the sound in the room is actually surprisingly good. Only vocals and the bass drum are run through the PA (or any keyboards). The band played through Marshall half stacks and a big Ashdown bass combo. The band will be releasing a new album next year and we are already planning to host the release party and brew a special beer for the event.

Blimey, a scary bunch of viking fellas there!

Some impressive Marshall and V action - sounded really good. &, in a brewery; what an excellent idea all around. Bergen, a lovely city, rocking music, drinking in a brewery, life doesn't get much better...

OOOOOH YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

FEEL THAT BIG OL T-BIRD BASS BABAY!

Say Gahr.....if I need a place to --- lets say "hide out" --- like "underground" and FAR AWAY from the USA..........could I get a job in the tombs of the brewery ????--- seems like a great place to grow my hair out drinks lots of beer headbang and change my name to Jorgan--mysteries employee who talks funny ;)---you hiring???

Im pretty lazy --- but a load of laughs :)
