Great backing tracks for practice - Blues

As I get better at playing mixo - dorian - aolian in succession and appreciate how close they are to each other, I now realize why I spent so much time trying to understand why I could "add" a note to a scale sometimes and not others, and when that might be.

Cool, how do you guys play backing tracks to jam to?
I think I have asked before, but never put it all together.
I'm gonna try the Trio to just play around / along with, and I have a cheapie looper but dont really know how to use it productively.

I play in front of a computer! Otherwise, I use a Ditto Looper. They take some getting used to, but are very valuable for establishing timing and creativity. I do not use it often enough to have achieved either of these benefits!

I play in front of a computer!
Computer here too. I just tell the wife I'm going to the basement to play with myself

Please elaborate.

Please type S L O W L Y.
sometimes I can be the dimly lit bulb of a current limiter rig.

I realize I am walking right into it so, specifically "the computer part".
You play into an interface, and out through the computer, or low volume amp?
You have computer speakers loud enough to play the tracks as you play along on the amp?

I'm so confused;

IMG_6972.JPG I do a lap top, a Line 6 pod 3X live it's a older one. My sound is into the Line 6 pod then a preamp and out my monitors. When I'm lazy I use my little Vox with a 1x12 Black Star cabinet and a back track from my iPad into my monitors. I will pick a couple pedals depending on the back track. I use my own backtracks often.

Growing up I (like thousands of other aspiring guitar players) always used to play along with records. I find it a good way to practice the blues AND learn songs at the same time. Plus you get to jam with your heros!

Cool slow jam Ray. Ive been using slow blues tracks a lot lately. I believe it's the best way to learn all the positions of a particular scale.

I listen to backing tracks on my computer every practice. I consider my computer just as important of a tool as anything I use.

I too, started learning with records. I destroyed many needles....it just wasn't practical.
