Well I didn't actually even have to leave home for this one. It was a video conference call with the HR people who are located in Colorado.....but they are enthusiastic about me being a qualified candidate and a good fit for the position, so they are forwarding my resume to the team leads at the site local to me that I would be placed at....at least one of whom I already know...small town here...I figure I have a pretty decent chance. On top of that, they have already hired 3 of my former co-workers from the old company I worked for, so they are already familiar with the training and experience I have, and how it applies to this job. The one thing I'm not sure about is what my competition looks like, or if there are even other candidates trying for it. It's a graveyard position (not ideal but this is no time to be too choosy), would be 4 tens, excellent retirement and benefits packages, and as an additional incentive there's also added differential pay for the night shift. This could be the game changer I've been waiting for....I hope it is. I've been having headhunters offer me work for quite some time now, but I am not willing to relocate at this point in time, so I've had to pass on quite a few lucrative opportunities. But my kids are younger, I don't want to uproot them from their friends, and schools, and everything they know and love, just to drag them cross-country for some stinkin' job lolWhen you walk in say saap vanilla face, give me the job! Dont forget to ask him if you will work with lights on
By the way best of luck , you got man!
