forum freedom fighters. Hope you are all well and keeping busy. Well we did a full house reno about 6 years ago now, and its been great, my Wife decided she wanted to refresh the two bathrooms. Had a contractor come in to put a new backsplash in main bathroom , and my Wife bought some new wallpaper and new decor . Will put in some pics once the jobs are complete.

We're in the process of getting bids to redo our 70 year old kitchen.

Nothing major going on here. House was built in 2004 so no need for any major remodels. But now that my wife has joined me in retirement, we’re looking at some updates. Paint walls. Some new furniture. Odds and ends like that. Only really major projects we’d like to undertake is a small deck off the living room and patio off the kitchen. And since it’s the “open concept” design, the kitchen and living room are separated by a peninsula. Our thought is to have the patio on the north side of house blend together with the deck on the east side of the house. We’ll see if we make that happen. She’s also sick of Illinois winters and wants to sell and move someplace warm. Not going to sink money into patio/deck just to move and not get to enjoy it.
