Gig Bag Or Hard Case What Do You Prefer

Hard cases for me.

Generally hard cases all around. A few came with gig bags, which is ok at home and for a jam or practice. I did get a couple hard cases for 2 of those. Gigs is almost always the hard case although a nice well,padded gig bag atop the heap in the SUV is ok for smaller gigs for me.
I just ordered a semi hard (no snickering now) rectangular like a rigid gig bag for a caseless guitar.
Might be a good compromise. Weight wise.

I got a heavy duty SKB for the Les Pauls so there is room for a Well-Hung strap and it protects the original Gibby case from getting marked all up.
