G-Force tuners

WOW, So much to go wrong. Reminds me of why when I was in my twenties I passed on buying new cars/trucks as far back as 1987-89 ish models. If I looked under the hood to see tons of plastic and gizmo crap crammed in there, that made me see that if I had to fix anything I'd hate fighting complicated clutter and would be cursing the crappy designers and builders of the vehicle who were rich enough to pay people to fix their stuff for them.

Instead, my first purchase was a PLAIN JANE Ol Faithful Ford Truck with no bells and whistles.

Interesting video. I didn't watch in it's entirety, but I get the point. Wondering if the owner tried to tune while the tuner was powered up...(they do warn about doing that). I haven't had any trouble yet with them on my '15 Special DC, infact they work very nicely, no complaints, but thinking I should get a set of Grovers or like on hand if they do fail.

I've only had mine for a few days and so far think they're OK.
I was about to burn the guitar after I lowered the bridge and couldn't get the E tuner to tighten the string :-(
A quick trip to YouTube instructed how to string up (winding) and string down (unwinding), lots of pushing buttons numerous times and I became a happy camper again.

I've had one guitar (for a short time) that had G-Force tuners on them. If I got another guitar that came with them stock I'd probably leave them on until the unit started messing up and then replace it with a good ole set of standard tuners. It was kind of neat having a G-Force system I guess, but I wouldn't go out of my way to get a guitar with it or not buy a guitar I wanted because it had the G-Force tuners on it.

I like em--- & like the crazy drum man on the OTHER side of town--- I will use and enjoy them till they fail ---then slap on "proper" tuners :)

KEEPING in mind they may last a LONG time as I am not a pro do not change tunings several times a show/night and so far the original battery charge is STILL GOING--- AND I used my battery to tune and check Gaskets SG before sending it round the world.....

all things fail in time and use.....

I must admit I am considering putting them on my SG. Have the on the '59 LP RI and I like them. Maybe I am just getting lazy, but I like them.

Almost spit coffee across the room, sorry to find your frustration so amusing.
The imagery of the Gibson funeral pyre inspired by technological "improvements".... I'm a sick pup I guess.

I'm running away like Bill Murray in Caddyshack after the explosions.
Next they will be "modelers".
