These pickups are used, but barely. Asking $250 shipped CONUS. These are nice pickups, I'm only selling them because I don't have a guitar to put them in.

"The Black Dog is an aggressive, throaty humbucker with deep bottom-end, muscular mids, smooth highs and more output than a vintage PAF.

The Black Dog humbucker is designed for players that need a vintage-voiced pickup with extra weight in the mid-range. Because we hand-wind with a modern polysol wire, the Black Dog is able to match the asymmetrical coils of The Mule while gaining additional output and grind. A stronger, richer mid and extended bass response lends itself to hot blues and hard rock tones without compromising clarity. Single note playing has plenty of weight behind each note with a solid high-end that sings when used with added preamp gain. Clean tones have depth and a full bodied ring to each string with excellent note separation in chords.

The Black Dog humbuckers are also particularly good at providing extra definition and punch to extended scale guitars. Seven string and baritone guitars benefit from better control of the highs and increased definition in the bass."

Were these in the Tribute or Standard? Did you trim the cables? If so, how long are they now? These might be good for the Korina V build I started ages ago. Don’t know how the Zebras would look though. I love the sound of my two Les Pauls, so I won‘t be changing those.

I bought them for my Standard, but I sold it with the original pickups in it. Then I put them in my Tribute, but I also sold it with the original pickups in it.

The second pic shows the length of the leads. About 10.5" on the Bridge pickup and 13" on the neck pickup. They are full length (the way they came) to the end of the hot center wire, I haven't cut any of that length off. The braid has been cut back some, but never soldered to the braid like normal so it's clean. The bridge pickup still has the unbraided tail I used to ground it, but the one on the neck pickup I cut off because it broke where it was bent and I just cut it off. If you click on that pic it should zoom in wherever you click so you can see what I mean.

I need to imagine what Zebra coils might look like on a '58 style V, or some of my other guitars. I'm curious but not quite totally interested to be committed. Need to think about it a couple of days. Always wanted to try out some Bare Knuckles. Lex Lurid from ETSG was trying to get me to try them when they first started makin them.

Just so you know, I've also listed these on another forum. If someone bites I'll check with you first before I sell them to someone else since you were the first to show interest.

Thanks. Right now, I'm overwhelmed with getting things in order after arriving home from Europe last night. Hopefully tomorrow I can sit down with a few guitars and try to visualize them with a Zebra style pickup in them.
