Freeways Are Dangerous:

Inspector #20

Some 'Mustang Cam' images from my recent SoCal Suicide Commutes...i saw most of these happen:

Zoom in on the Maine plate, still attached. See the black marks on the retaining wall??? He rear ended a car on this side of the freeway, ran up and over the retaining wall into the westbound lanes and hit another car head-on.

Note the worn-slick left rear tire on the Mercedes - common here in SoCal

Zoom in up ahead in this photo to see firemen trying to remove occupants from the other car...

yep-- Ive witnessed some all out insanity the last couple days --- apparently (the ignorant among us) think "stay oat home" means ---- GO OUT AND PRETEND THERE ARE NO RULES AT ALL
90-100mph on the freeways--- weaving in and out running red lights---going the wrong way down 1 way streets-- Ive see it all-- in just 2 days--

I hate the highways. It's always amateur hour.
They can't always be avoided, but when I can avoid them, I do.

My regular travel routes are usually county back roads past farms, orange groves and phosphate mines.
Caution is still warranted, but traffic is so light that your chance of a mishap is so much less.

The thing I noticed before Illinois got put on lockdown. First things to close we’re schools. Then certain businesses where more than x number of people could congregate. I could see there was nearly 1/2 the cars sharing the road with me..... but the exact same number on idiots.

So this reminds me of some math humor I came up with years ago. It’s based on the conservation of momentum theory in physics.
In physics, the term conservation refers to something which doesn't change. This means that the variable in an equation which represents a conserved quantity is constant over time. It has the same value both before and after an event.

My theory is about the number as#holes in your life (kinda like idiots above). Seems like when some AH leaves your life another appears before long. In math, I put it into partial derivatives which in English states:

given any delta change of time, the delta change in the number of AHs in your life is equal to 0.

in math it’s written:

dA/dT=0

So when one leaves, be assured, another will be along shortly.

So if ya ever see me write dA/dT this is what I’m talking about :pound-hand:

Man..... and I thought I was a numbers nerd. You win.

Your equation sorta makes me think of an IT error code. I.D.1.0.T. error.

I drove from Long Beach to Palmdale yesterday. It's just around a 90 mile drive. I was driving right at 80, which is normal freeway speed here.

There were MANY drivers blowing by me like I was standing still, had to be in excess of 100 MPH. Yes, the highways have less traffic, but I
think people believe this means they can drive like complete morons!

A week or so ago when it rained I drove by 6 accidents and witnessed one happen right in front of me. I had to swerve around a guy who
lost control and hit the center divider and then bounced back into the center lane (5 lane freeway one way). I saw headlights...not good!

Yup, that BS is heavily around here too! San Francisco Bay Area: On one California Highway Patrol officer's shift:

Notice that the moron at 117mph had no evidence of insurance either...
