Found a great old amp on Facebook.

Found this beauty on the local marketplace for $100. I played one several years ago at a bar jam. I was impressed with the tone then. Now I’m amazed. There are so many different tones available, two channels each with vintage/modern settings, loose/tight setting on the master controls, decent reverb, very loud. 80 watts with the installed speaker, 100 watts with a second 8 ohm speaker hooked up. It will give my Quilter a run for the money. SS amps for the win.

I had the 65 watt Studio Pro red stripe series. The OD channel through better speakers like a 2x12 V30 loaded sounded remarkably tube like. Very good sounding thing. Congrats on the Bandit!!

Cool amp, good price! Bandits are generally considered very good! I have had a few, most people seem to prefer the teal stripe...but I have found many to be good. Also, generally they make very good pedal platforms.

Wish I still had mine but I got infected by the "tube snob virus".

Now I just use my ears to decide if I like something.

How much does that weigh? I’m guessing it is up into Twin territory for weight.

$100 was a good deal but they aren’t expensive. No one wants solid state any more. Normally they go for $200 to $250 locally. Most aren’t as clean as this one.

I need to echo what some others have said. That Bandit looks to be in very good condition. That’s a very good score you made. You’ll probably die before it does!

Tone is tone I'm not a tube snob. My main guitar amp is a Quilter 101R solid state. My current gigging amp is a Traynor SB110 solid state bass amp. I have fond memories of playing a Bandit at a local bar jam several years ago. When I saw the Bandit for sale I had to have it. I am not disappointed with it. It is extremely versatile with several great tones available.

I just sold one of those for $150. They are sweet amps, but super heavy for SS. I'm down to one real tube amp and no SS amps. The Kemper is my baby...

My dad had the silver panel version of this one back in the mid 90s. Had the 1x12 Extension cab too. Very loud for its size and would hang in there against a Marshall 50w Half Stack to a certain point. I personally loved it, great cleans and could get an awesome hi gain tone if you toyed with it.
