My EPi LP before T Tops
All my Les Paul's are heavyweights....all are mirror-image setups....498T (13.9k) in the Gibson and Epiphone HB8N (14.0k - the Epiphone replica of a 498T) in the replicas.
My Mom's 1979 Gibson Les Paul Custom has T-tops. Nice pickups, but nowhere near enough output for what I play.
The 498T/HB8N (496R/HB6N necks) is pretty much my signature pickup. I get them from Stratosphere.
When I switch Les Paul's during a set, no one can tell sonically...
My goal is to add Les Paul #3 to the rotation. I prefer to switch guitars every few songs rather than visit the tuner...
