Debated on putting this here on in The Closet...... coin flip later and here it is.

Back story:
About 10 days ago I was trying to figure out (1) did I get gut punched and miss it or (2) did that pickup really hit me while walking the dog. As you can guess.... neither. The short story. Went to Doc. CT scan later and other tests.... diverticulitis AND pancreatitis. Some meds later, liquid diet for a few days..... I can happily say, today feeling just about back to normal (whatever the heck that is Adrian).

Pretty sure I'm not the only member here to have this hit them. Many of us are charter members of The Old Geezers Club.

My question to this distinguished group.
There's a lot of diet suggestions out there on the interweb. Between my bride and myself, read a lot of it. LOTS of disagreement from both science and real people. (not suggesting science isn't real people.... kinda like these are real people, not actors)

So those that have had the privilege to get hit by this.... what'd you do (if anything) to adjust your diet? Would really like to do what I can to prevent a future flair-up, knowing that statistically it's gonna happen again.

Drink lots of water, get plenty of fiber and dont eat no Seeds, especially like sesame seeds or berry seeds, now seeds like squash seeds will turn to mush if you cook them, been a couple years since ive had a flair up,knock on wood. oh ya i dont eat nuts and never any corn. id stay away from the heavy fiber till you heal up, eat bland like they tell you. water water water
