Cool, hope it works for you, but I can't stop staring at the blue sparkle amp.
The faceplates came in five days ago. It took me a bit to get everything to fit properly. Sandy, of Precision Design nailed it, and gave me everything I was hoping for. The difficulties I encountered was due to my inconsistencies when drilling the chassis. A worthy learning experience, I may say! I also ordered a set of new replacement faceplates for my DIY clone JCM800 2204 (with 6550's), that I originally built a few years ago, too. This one is named "Good Old Boy". I'll start on the "Good Old Boy" in a couple of days.
The following amp was born as a 2002 to 2007 Carvin Vintage 16, and I bought it used in 2007. Bought this amp because I already was looking for one of these to learn more about modding amps. In 2019, I rebuilt the amp with a new chassis, cabinet, and a bunch of small new parts. The only original Carvin part left, is the OT and the USA-made Accutronics reverb tank. Anyways, the amp sat around without any makeup for the last six years. But not anymore, dammit!! Thanks to Ms Sandy Henry and her expertise, the bling justifies the effort. Sandy also made that little logo-badge, that I nailed into the front grill.
The color is white with a very satin finish. I introduce, my "Caramba":
I want to post some gut shots of the Caramba, but I'm currently waiting for a new pot to arrive that'll help me complete the Mid/Raw control's new value. I expect, installing the faceplates for the Good Old Boy will be a easier, since I was able to provide the original faceplates of the GOB to Sandy as templates.
