All right, here's my official beginning:

Fender Jazz Bass 1966 (refinished by me with Tung oil)
The bass is all stock, except pots have been replaced and the tugbar was
lost along the way. I replaced the tugbar with an elegant Ebony one.

Asking price $6000 or best offer...

Original pickups, tuners, frets (worn but very playable)
original nut, bridge, pick guard, and Chrome pickup covers.

I've owned and played this bass since 1972.








I'll upload some clear photos of the bass in its current condition.

yes, I'll take the best offer I can get. I don't know what an auction would bring
and Elderly Instruments wants $150 to do an official appraisal. So I thought I'd offer
it here first among guys who know me, and then maybe on twit face to fans and
colleagues.

If nobody's interested, I'll take it up to Elderly and let them sell it on consignment.
They have a worldwide clientele. But I'd rather sell it to someone who's going to play
it and not lock it up in a glass case.
