Famous Gibson

Cool story and pics. I like, I mean, I REALLY like ES-335/355 style guitars.

Thanks for posting.

I've always thought B.B. played some of the classiest-looking guitars.

To be honest, I really wish they'd make a version that put the pickup switch in the Les Paul position, like my Washburn HB-30. I'd possibly save up for one.

Super 400... :-)

So some guy gets a guitar.
He decides to give it a name.
The name actually has meaning.
Then he gives every other guitar he has
for his entire career the same name.

...and nobody but me sees anything wrong with that.

BB King was the George Foreman of guitar players.

But the man did have some feel....

Maybe B. B. believed in reincarnation...

I love B.B.'s guitar and the colour.;) My Hagstrom Viking Deluxe is pretty close to an ES-335 but with slightly different cutaways and a vibrato unit. I really love the sound of semi-hollow bodied guitars...very resonant.

What's weird is that it's actually famous Gibsons, plural. He had a bunch of them, so I don't get it.
When I think famous Gibson, singular, I think of something like this:
