Up first is the Camera mic in the room 8' back only using Zoom q8. Same riff & amp settings as 4x12 videos . Gibson SGJ 61 zebra bridge.

1) China Ceslestion V30 & t75 in Peavey 212 closed back
2) China Celestion greenbacks in Peavey 212 closed back
3) Celestion V-Type & Crate branded Celestion v12 in Seismic Semi open oversize 2x12
4) China Celestion V30's in Bugera Turbosound 2x12

I could geek out over speaker and pickup comparisons all day.
Your 4th example sounds a little boxy? to me.

Mic placement/angle is crucial, I hear some kind of phasing something going on with that one maybe?
Could just be my listening device at this moment though. I didn't get headphones out yet today. Could just be the cab too.

Keep it up! I think nothing has helped me learn more for my own good than making my own speaker shootouts!

100% agree, my real songs are cleaning up each new one by doing this. Good ear, forgot to turn of the camera mic's off a few of these,

Just started doing this again the Peavey JSX . Should get better & better as i learn this stuff. i was so encouraged by how last song drown came out that if fired me up again to keep making new music.
 
Also what i do is aim for same mic placement as best as i can on each & do not touch the settings from recording to recording. They might be a lil abrasive but its more realistic as to what is actually in the room before a mix starts to squash & level it all,
