What changed my tone more than anything.,,,you cant buy it

I have 2 Older gentlemen met over the years..both can play..i mean play & are Amp Techs..1 authorized marshall & other builds F circuits from scratch. since early 70's, They sorta "fathered" me along the way..especially when i was forced in 2016 to play guitar from bass.

.always wondered no matter they did it was consistent & just so much liveliness jumping off the strings...any guitar & any amp

Amp set to a break point on 7 on guitar vol knob (at required level for application)
Back off guitar Vol to 5 for chords
Dime guitar vol for leads

It has you in the middle on 7 on your guitar to lead up or strum down on volume knob by simple vol knob move

I Immediately chucked all my MV circuits...and your guitar individual TONE can shine through not covered up in pre gain swash or fuzz.. always be consistent cause of how the amp set & BONUS..,,in the simple early circuits..M or F you can customize the level you play at & exactly where the edge of break up is....its not for everybody but if you are into guitar character where the body-strings-electronics get to shine thru..it is the stuff...it will expose you as a player tho cause there is nowhere to hide

Excellent post!
Perfect annology of the sweet spots on the guitar itself, then with the amps just getting there!
And expose you it will!
But it will also make you a better player!!
Cheers Mitch

That was always how I set up my guitars. Neck pickup on 7, then find where each tone pot on the amp starts to come on, then fine tune amp volume and tone as needed. You get a great snarl when rolling up to ten, then when you hit the bridge pickup it has a real nasty bite to it.
