Early Fender 1957 RI 1982

I got this guitar from a collector back in 2008 and never played it the other day we were playing Too Rolling Stoned
the volume dropped 90% later checked the input jack looks bent I just found a period correct switchcraft jack silver plated contacts looks better
than the stock jack will know soon going King Salmon fishing in the AM.

I have an 82 Smith Strat that I bought new and had some trouble with the jack also. No idea if that is a common /period issue or not. Cool guitar.

I love hot smoking salmon here, in the fall. I never see King anymore…but maple brined, and hot smoked, with alder, and a little bit of charcoal…one of my favorite snacks!

I use alder wood also nice surprise 3 white kings be smoking Saturday should be enough to can a case of pint jars.

When I bought my '82 Les Paul back in '83, the shop also had a new '82 or '83 reissue '57 Strat. It was real nice, but I had my heart set on getting a Les Paul. I tried five that day. Four were new, and the '82 was slightly used. I went with that Les Paul, and still have it. I would have loved to have also bought the Strat, but I think I was only making about $4.50 an hour as a machinist apprentice at the time. Two premium guitars was more than I could afford at that time of my life.

The first time I could afford guitars was 1983 working at BMW Marine distributor level supplying dealers North and South America, Canada
then moved to Alaska 1984 the guitar repairman I used turned me on to Guitar Trader my life has never been the same. Guitar Porn to the max.
If memory severs me 1985 had a collection of 65 guitars 1988 accident five months of surgeries had to sell off most of them paid the bills off
down to two guitars 1961 Strat and 1972 Les Paul Custom 1954 LE still have them now. Great day in life the weather has been outstanding.
