I’ve never seen him live but his youtube videos are pretty amazing. I’d jump at a chance to see him in a setting like that. I discovered him when I bought my Godin A12 and found his videos.
 
Has played on stage with Les Paul, Chet Adkins, Duane Eddy, Peter Frampton, John Fogerty, Vince Gill and many others. He is one of the finest fingerpicking guitarists around. He has won many awards and the list goes on.
 
eSGEe I didn't know who he was until my buds at the shop, told me he was coming tonight to do a session on Godin guitars. He has quite a history of playing guitar, the guy is a fantastic player. I'm not to sure there are many on the forum here that know of him. I thought the person that would know him would be RVA.

He is a Jacksonville, Fl. boy. Use to come into the shop that I did work for when he was in town. Very down to earth guy.
 
I got a chance to see Doyle Dykes at the 2009 Winter NAMM. He was a long time endorser of Taylor guitars and was performing at the Taylor guitars demonstration stage. Doyle has some mind boggling talents. Definitely a true guitar virtuoso.
