Dorian Update:

No -- all joking aside this is a deadly storm----
currently in Lakeland though its a lovely morning -- sunny 80 degrees--
the storm has slowed and is pummeling the Bahamas --we are told we wont see effects till late tues. early Wed. on "current track" -- but that can change

Just waiting for it to completely pass here. Then we'll dump the recycle bin full of water, start using several gas cans of gas in the car/truck/mower. Pull all the stuff back out of the shed that could blow around during a hurricane and then... well, wait and hope we don't have to do it all again this hurricane season...

Don’t know for sure where all our Florida and east coast TTR members live, but keep safe you guys. Weather Service still doesn’t have a clue how this sucker is gonna track. My guess, even if the eye stays offshore.... you’re all still in for a big blow and storm surge.

Atlantic coast will feel the worst of it.
Gulf side maybe a bit of wind & rain.
There are hundreds of power linesmen from out of state stationed all over just waiting for the call.

Heard that that Comed had sent a bunch down from the Chicagoland area.

The wife & I were staying at a resort in St. Pete Beach this weekend, on the gulf side, and linesmen started showing up Saturday from all over.
The resort was suffering a 70 percent cancellation rate, so we had the place to ourselves till the linesmen showed up.
From an almost empty parking lot on Friday, to a lot overflowing with utility trucks when we checked out this morning.

waiting....watching ....and waiting.......moved my vehicles away from the TREE zone----they claim T.S. force winds by 8 am tomorrow here in the LAKEland......didnt feel like moving them in the morning so did it now---we are looking (they claim on the current track) at 20-40 mph sustained winds-- normally this wouldnt prompt vehicle moves-- BUT the ground is SATURATED -- not much HOLDING the trees IN the ground to begin with so------- an ounce of prevention as they say.

Hopefully no trees will come down....

I would be a hott mess with worry if I had trees..

I don’t even think I will get a Puff over here......

Better safe than sorry..

Please be safe my brother!

Yep all you in harms way, be safe, get your family safe, your gear safe, and dont get swept up in the action.
You know you are in trouble if you see a witch riding a bicycle.
It's not just for tornadoes.
