I just picked this up. You can find them for around $50 used. They are designed with low range instruments in mind - bass, baritone guitars, and down-tuned guitars. I was very impressed by the 3 band parametric EQ, which can either cut or boost. And of course, I was impressed by Andy

Well that's a pretty growling sounding kind of pedal which I like. And the price used sounds even better. I remember drinking an I.P.A. beer a long while ago called Boneshaker and it really shook my bones.

You crossed my mind when I saw this BUT, it has a hearty EQ, and that amount of control would bother you

I just noticed the pedal actually has 9 controls. There are 3 regular knobs and 3 concentric knobs that hold 2 controls each...that is quite a variety of tone right there!

After having spent some time with this pedal, I find it to be highly versatile . The ParaEQ is effective and it is capably of many tones. Do not let the "low end-extended scale" advertising throw you off. it does rock, to blues, to near fuzz tones. At a rather common used price of around $50, I am going to recommend that everyone try it. Here is one for $52
