In between working on commercial projects for hire, we were discussing this song and I wasn't sure I could sing it well enough to make it a second 'DeadPedal' cover, considering how good our cover of 'War Pigs' came out. So, we made the decision to just crank it out and see if it was worth doing a cover version later.

The guitars and drums were laid down in one take simultaneously to a click track. I played bass on a second track, then added a second rhythm guitar track that also includes the solo. The final track is just some extra vocals that I threw in. Everything was done in Cubase Pro-12. The entire project was completed in under an hour.

The guitar used is my 2021 Gibson Les Paul through Guitar Rig 6 using two of my own custom presets.

This morning, I listened to what we recorded and decided to adjust the channel volumes and see how it sounded. This is without any kind of mastering and no FX added other than what the guitars had on them when they were initially recorded.

Here's a link to it:

I think the song has potential as a cover for us...what do you think???

Nice work, that would get em up on the dance floor. I sneezed and missed the solo (just kidding).

That sounded real good, Robert! If you and the band can pull that off live with that type of tightness, you're going to get some wet panties thrown at you! Some of them might even come from the ladies... :sneaky:
