David Gilmour Just Released the Entire Pompeii Concert on YouTube...

Guitar Solo in the last 4 minutes of Sorrow just BLOWS me away! Starts around 7:00 minute mark. Watch the faces of the rest of the players on stage...they are just thrilled to be on the
stage witnessing the greatness that is David Gilmour!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wish I could take over all media and broadcast this out...may show the younger generation just what they are missing...

That song is phenomenal! One of the biggest reasons I even bother to try to use a trem at all...ever.

I have the day off tomorrow (the 17th of May is Norway’s national day, we celebrate the signing of our constitution in 1814), now I know what I’m going to do. Thanks, Sp8ctre!

I think they'd care about as much as you and I would have if our grandparents tried to "school" us with Tommy Dorsey or Pine Top Smith. They may appreciate the talent but wouldn't feel like they were missing a thing.

But, yes, Gilmour is freaking force of nature when he's playing live. I need to watch all of these.

Most likely...sad but true.

I like Tommy Dorsey-- Stan Getz---Glenn Miller ---Big Band stuff--

Jazz---

OLD Country --- 80/s and 90/s country (the new stuff isnt country)

Reggae

calypso

blues

Motown

and of course all the metals-- and rock and stuff--- lol

My cd collection is VERY "eclectic" ---- odd--- and all over the place -- typical of multiple personality psychotics everywhere ;)

Then there is this fella. He is almost the total package except it would be hard to drum, play keys and BASS all as one guy. Singing and playing Mr Gilmour is hard enough. Admirable job from this young man. As always when I listen to this jam, I cannot even fathom the permanence of the licks Mr Rick Wright laid down on Keys and that plodding hypnotic groove Roger Waters and Nick Mason locked in on together. JUST sick jamming driving pulse in this freakin tune.
