Question:

You know the lead guitar parts that play between the verses??? I've been tracking them in different octaves and tunings, but IMHO, I can't find a way to add them that doesn't make the song start sounding like Metallica's version. What about just leaving those phrases out altogether and adding another higher octave rhythm track???

Awesome album! I remember putting bean bags from a Twister game in the LP to slow it down, then retuning to learn the solos!

Funny. This was actually one of the very few albums ever that I learned start to finish, every song. In the '80's we'd play one or two off this record at every gig and just change up which songs from show to show.

I even made the last "real" band I was in play 'Switch 625' during some of the shows.

This may sound a little strange but I’ve always thought a speeded up, heavy guitar version of Knocking on Heaven’s Door would sound pretty good. I never thought of a Lemmy style vocal but that might just make it even better.

Yeah, the old classic could use some "juice". GNR did OK...
