Don't let the name fool you, it doesn't taste like a clam, it tastes like a , flavorful, spicy, filling, cheesy, deliciousness.....with clams.
This is a recipe handed down from my mother, and I carry on the tradition. I haven't met anyone who doesn't love it. There are many friends, family and relations who won't let me visit without bringing it.
So, I made this for a get away with my nephews this weekend.....250 acres, a cabin, and hundreds of beers. This is only the second time I made it in a throw away tin. I've always made it in the same bowl, as did my mother. But im going away with the boys, and much will not survive this trip.
Another tradition is how it is eaten....it can only, and I stress only, be eaten with Wheat Thin crackers, hot out of the oven.
So that's my story, and I'm sticking to it. Can't wait for my trip, 30 some odd beers....and this dip.
