It’s never a good day when objects that cannot be compressed are introduced into your car’s engine cylinders.

This is especially true when that car is one of the most anticipated sports cars to come out of Detroit in years. When it happens with fewer than 100 kilometres on the clock, it’s nearly apocalyptic.

However, that’s exactly what happened to one Michael Crummer. In a Facebook post made January 18, the man shows a new Corvette hoisted skyward with a big hole where most of its important internals

I recently Spent 2800miles adn 5 days in one of these

while towing approx 10,000 lbs (or more not sure ) and I gotta say that damn engine is IMPRESSIVE --- I was accelerating and PASSING Semis uphill in the Ozark mountains............just put your foot in it and it pulls like a locomotive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
GM has continued to use two-piece valves and powdered metal connecting rods in the 'new' engine, despite repeated failures of these parts in the 'old' LS engines.
