Building A Swimming Pool Around An Underground House...

I tend to lean on the BS side---
or they only own one pair of shorts and the whole project was accomplished in the same light it never gets lighter or darker or shadow changes while they are working??????
no rain or sun--- it would take weeks to do that --- hauling 2 gallons of water at a time.........from....er where?

Interesting how they did not have any basic hand tools, not even a simple shovel. Notice the straight cuts on the bamboo walkway for the bridge? All cut to length with no saw or tape measure? Sniff sniff... :poo:

Y’know, I do have a few bags of pool shock and some chlorine pucks I could give ‘em to help with that green water.

Seriously, constructing what is essentially a moat around your house ain’t a bad idea, regardless of how they did it!

I want one, too!

Me FiL can do amazing building with a machete and some bamboo; I was surprised when I first saw his efforts.

That 'house' looks interesting however I wouldn't wanna be inside when the monsoon season comes and the water level rises.

So you didn't notice the shovel marks on the trench walls?
Funny how they are represented as being shovel-less but have access to a HD video camera.
I may be in a negative mood today, but I call BS!
Yes I seen it.

I think the video was shot over a few days and not just one day as it appears. It sure was a lot of work digging the trench for the water but what amazed me is the clay they found in a nearby pond to make tiles for the pool. The way they made them and baked them to cure rock hard must have been quite a chore in itself. I wonder how many trips to the lake they had to make to fill the pool...lots!
