Excellent post, Ray.

I have never seen another guitar player whose gear descriptions are more interesting and enjoyable to watch than Joe Bonamassa.

He not only has a real grasp of what he's describing, but he also demonstrates a real love for it. His heart is really into it.

I watched both last night

1)Play to have fun
2) Get the guitar sounding right before touching the amp(ride the knobs)
3) As the music changes live..adjust with it...

4) the guy has stupid good dynamics...he even admits he can't shred...its the space between his notes & the attack that makes it seem fast..as much as people bag on him..his runs are played fairly clean..distortion boys are sloppy in comparison..
