Thanks mentor !! i was messing with out of phase mics..just getting into light fuzz. Lead for the moment)love to play em) but i am still approaching this as if i have to pull it off live...am the the only guitarists..i can do it..but i got to have dynamics in the songs to pull it off & 1 heck of a bass player who ran run a counter line & also do the 4th's i incorporate so much..

..the bass is that MXL 144 on the cab..the pf50t just hits at a reasonable level..we think the pickups in the player series are a tad more output but more punch than the 1/4 pounders...each recording...less & less tracks & mixing is going on..the peavy''s have been an amazing clarity in the mix..the jensen's really sit on a P & i wonder if the separation of Guitar & bass is what is starting to show up in the mix.

crazy story..bought my first bass it came with a free lesson. The teacher after lesson..looked me in the eye...said "you have a choice right now...you have a timing instinct that isnt teachable..do you want to be the entertainment or just copy others"....i smiled...was in a band 3 days later & at a 400+ person gig the 2nd weekend..in that time penned the words for the singer....an addiction to bucking the norm. happened..what my teacher then said..

...he said copy others at the beginning phase..especially tab..your picking hand will always do what they do rythmatically...that is a habit that wont break he said...that is not a knock on learning songs at all
..or lessons...heck i practice close to 2 hours a day..just trying to reach chords & notes..actually have to sorta invent my own chords cause my fingers just dont reach the chords i really want to play..so i play part of the chord..then go back on the bass & play the fundamental to back it up...found out it really opens the song up...almost feel relieved i switched to the peavey amps,,,cause the congestion is not there when you let individual notes ring out quick but still in a chord shape....just he warned me that if i enjoyed writing a lot..the less info of others in my head..the more of my own ideas & technique would rise up...

To this day..i love my Teacher D.M.>..he is on quite a few hit records..was able to never have a real job cause of his original skills..
