The last round between the finalists Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath was a little closer
than I thought it would be, so kudos to the Sabbath clan for putting up a great fight.

I don't think the final results would surprise anyone, particularly on a forum with so many
heavy rockin' guitarists in our age group.

My condolences to those who's favorites fell by the wayside along the way... I feel your pain!

I may have had some different intermediate results if this was a pick the whole bracket in advance kinda thing, but Zep would have been my top pick from the get-go.
Fun to watch it play out and see all the $#!+ talk and emotions thrown about.
I had some doubts we'd get a bracket put together in the first place...

Thanks and kudos to Brad for doing all the cat herding! :yesway:

Were there any surprises for you?
Some key ones for me... AC/DC beats The Rolling Stones. ZZ beats Jimi. Deep Purple beats KISS

I think the only one that I wasn't expecting was ZZ Top over Jimi Hendrix. I didn't vote in that one, but I did think it would go the other way. Deep Purple vs. Kiss was one I felt would go to Kiss; though, I wasn't surprised when it went to Deep Purple. I did think that AC/DC would defeat The Who, and I said as much in the voting, but I am not entirely surprised by The Who taking that one.

However, when I very first saw the chart, I figured the final matchup would be Led Zeppelin vs. Black Sabbath. I wasn't entirely sure how that would go. I felt Zeppelin had the edge, but knew that Sabbath could pull the upset. So, I'm not surprised by that matchup, nor the result.

At any rate, thanks for all your hard work with putting this together.
