Was rather simple but that first pry was, ohif it cracks. Worked fine for a few years and then traded it in for a 15 pro. I think we got $5 for it.
I kept the old S5 for a music player while cutting the lawn plus as the monitor mixer app for shows so I don't have to use my regular phone.I did a replacement battery a few years ago on my wife’s iPhone 7. I use my old 6S as a juke box. Data is shut off but browsing still works via WiFi, so many time I use it for streaming rather than my current phone.I kept the old S5 for a music player while cutting the lawn plus as the monitor mixer app for shows so I don't have to use my regular phone.
I think the older phones may have been easier to pull apart… but once they started making them more water proof the seal can be a problem. At least what I’ve seen in the videos.Changed the battery on my iPhone 5s when I bought my 8s. Kit from Amazon, no major issue, might have been a little hard to pull the glass off, but other than that it was ok.
I’m with ya on this one Norm. I like to do stuff like this if for no other reason than to prove I can. However, a phone battery just isn’t one of them.Kudos for you guys that changed the batteries in your phones. When it comes to that point for me, Ill take it to someone or just buy another phone.
