Hi Guys well its been a busy summer! I see my Boy Adrian picked up a Godin guitar its mighty SWEET!! Love it! At least I think its his. Haven't done any R/C flying this year due to having pre cancerous lesions removed had a total of nine removed. Spent 12 weeks going to Dr. getting removed then 7 to 10 days having stitches removed. Everything is good so that's great!!! Since some of you know I have struggled with skin cancer at times over the last 18 years. So since I had so many removed thought it best to try to remain out of direct sun for the rest of this year. We will see in May next year after I have my checkup how things are then. Hopefully will be good and I can get back at it. I have missed flying ,but health is number one! Been doing a lot of pickin and a grinning this year having a blast! Looking forward to get back to my lessons in October and do some gigs this winter. I like the addition of the Tone Rooms Swag. I will have to pick something from the menu at some point. Always good to be on here and talking with you Youall. To everyone keep smiling and like I always say ROCKnROLL Babies!

I didn't know this. Did you get sunburned a lot in your younger days? Are you of the fair-skin color? Family history of skin cancer?

Definitely glad that you're doing better and being proactive on this. Cancer sucks big time!

Thanks Sysco. Yes I had many sunburns in my early youth and into my 30s. We didn't know the effects of skin cancer back in those days. I have a dark complexion to begin with, that's what puzzles me as well. There is no Family history of skin cancer. I am told it can take years to develop. I always lather up before I spend time directly in the sun , I always were a hat and never go without a shirt on. And my Doctor emphasizes this every time I see her, and also has told me not to go swimming except in the later part evening of the day, and even wear a shirt when I go swimming. She always tells me we got it, but it can come back in another area. The thing I tell everyone if you have a mole which is growing or has a strange shape to it, or a lesion or lump that has come up quickly get to your Doctor or Dermatologist right away. I know a couple of more months down the road I would have possibly had a more serious problem. My specialist wasn't sure at the time whether I had melanoma or not from a mole on my back. Thank goodness I didn't that's the worse skin cancer to have. The other lesions were pre cancerous Basil cell carcinoma which I have had before. I have had Basil cell carcinoma different times and the Doctor removed it and have had no other problems from those areas. But the thing is it has come back many times over the years. Try to limit yourself when in the sun , keep covered up, wear suntan lotion with SPF 30 or more, and get checked immediately if you suspect anything.
