Went to sport medicine today, almost canceled since I had a gastro this weekend and was violently expelling fluids from both ends, I phoned and they said no problem you are past the contagious stage.
Doctor told no more cortisone shots for me, this will turn my tendons into hamburger meat, I have had 5 injections. We had a long discussion she told me to keep going with my exercise program from 2 sessions of physiotherapy, and I have another appointment on April 1, I am still on a “cortisone high” as she called it from my last injection, I need to be in pain to help with a diagnostic and treatment, though the 4 ultrasound I had and 1 X-ray don’t show much damage.
Shoulder impingement, supposedly.
Will see.
Sucks getting old.
On the other hand could be a lot worst

Get better. Sucks to hurt and seemingly not be able to do anything about it.

I just finished up some PT for same issue. Yours is sounding a bit more of an issue than I had. Have not needed shots or an MRI or Xrays.... yet. While not "fixed" yet, its way better than when I started, Plus still trying to do my exercises to hopefully continue to improve.

I have done about 30 weeks of exercise with no real improvement, took 2 months off, starting again this week, not much else to do, I really want to avoid surgery which is not a guarantee of anything

Yikes!!

As I was guessing. You injured your shoulder way more than I did. Not even sure exactly what I did. Had a guess. PT lady concurred. And we moved on from there. I was actually in for PT on tight neck and shoulder muscles when I started getting pain in the actual shoulder area. So…. Stopped working on the neck and moved to the shoulder.
