Well..... like the title states, sorry to disappoint but I am back from the middle of nowhere- or close to it.

Had a project that took us into the wilderness, near the four corners area, that had no "real" internet. Made surveying a trip to twenty years ago! We had to go old school on our methods.

Will definitely post pics in the next few days, saw lots of cool geology and wildlife. Came within inches of stepping on a coiled diamondback!

Just wanted to say "Hi", let you all know I wasn't being antisocial, just did not have the patience to try to deal with no real connection. Even the motel we were at had sattelite internet- for only a couple of hours a day. Welcome to 1999! Lol

It was a step back in time.

No chain stores, Starbucks Mickey D's etc... Dinner was from the local diner. Bet I actually gained weight on this trip.

Made me appreciate my conveniences at home.

I had brought my own rum for the evenings, the guys on the crew were spending ten dollars a six pack for Bud, Miller etc...

Glad I brought my sidearm with, we were in a truly desolate area.
 
Back to basics ha? Now you can appreciate your Floyd rose waammy bar more and think how far we have come! ( some still love primitive tele radios)
I thought you were taking this whole social distance thing to a new level and staying away from us.
Good to have you back, welcome to future well, for me you still in the past because here is night time already 12:45 on my clock radio.
