This dude's tone just kills...Ive become a fanatic.

Started researching...he runs stock Stratocasters with DiMarzio HS-3 hum cancelling single coils, through an Engl E645 Powerball Head into daisy-chained 4x12's...

I follow the Song Hallelujah happen to come across this some time ago and loved it. So is Axel the guitarist doing the lead in it? Love the sound, tone, and style of it all the way thru... :dood:

Yes. Axel is the bandleader and guitarist. He plays scalloped neck Stratocasters with DiMarzio HS3's through Engl 645 Powerball Heads and Marshall 4x12's.

That is some killer live tone.

To the extent that I have something akin to a "bucket list" going to Wacken and Hellfest are pretty much right there at the top.

His pickup of choice is the DiMarzio HS-3, which is a fairly low output hum cancelling single coil....they sound identical to an old Fender single coil.

Don't take this the wrong way, but I was watching it and thinking to myself: "damn, that sounds good...can you imagine how much better he'd sound with humbuckers?"
