Anyone ever get a mass text to numbers starting with your prefix?

I got a text a lil while ago that had about 30 numbers on it starting with the suffix from 0000, all labeled with the same prefix. Said " So Send Me Some Pics" lol i probably screwed up by replying in general with some colorful language of course.

Either 1 of 3 things I suppose: 1) A 10 year old kid just hitting sequential numbers 2) someone really lonely and unimaginative or 3) a scam that i probably shouldn't have responded to in the first place (Oh well, wouldn't be the first time I had to go on the identity scam shuffle)

Just like incoming phone calls from numbers I don’t recognize. 99% of the time it’s a scam. So I have my phone set to automatically send any number not in my contacts straight to voice mail. Figure if call is legit. Caller will leave voice mail and I’ll call back.

Same thing with texts. Unless the mass text includes someones number in my contacts, Del Del.

Ditto! I normally just hit "spam" which blocks it automatically and stows it away. I did recognize 1 of the numbers on the list though, which is why i even opened it but like i mentioned, they were sequential and that number happens to be really similar to mine by sheer coincidence. Probably still a bad idea lol
