It is on IndieGoGo and it is an acoustic and/or acoustic electric made by Kepma, the fastest growing guitar maker in the world. It has a neck with less built in and a phone app and Bluetooth and it teaches anywhere from beginners to advanced. One of the cool things is the frets are forged individually from stainless steel, not cut from wire. The early birds were around 300 with case and accessories. Anyone here order it or know about it?

First I have heard of them.

I think it was like Guitar Hero to get people to play for real. Kinda like what that Rocksmith thing is now but without the video game to it. I never wanted to learn the guitar from a video game myself but hey, whatever floats your boat lol
I had guitar hero with SG lol I sucked at real thing and sucked guitar hero too. :)

my brother loves gaming and he was playing it too, press blue no red lol

Lol i couldnt play that damn game at all hardly. I had Guitar Hero 2 and Guitar Hero World tour. Funny thing was i could only play on normal mode on songs like The Trooper, Freebird and My Curse and would barely pass it, but could play them for real on a guitar lol

I cant remember well it was so long ago but remember you would get booed when you could not play Lol

I said to my brother lets smash the guitar its more rock n roll then this :)

Lol yeah i got booed all the time. I usually slammed the guitar ( it was an explorer shaped ironically lol) and flipped off my tv
I just recently finished the game Mortal kombat and i smashed the joystick as I could not defeat final boss Shao khan :)
I went on web to see how to kill him, it nearly broke up my marriage lol

my wife was like, you see how it makes you feel you lose control .... why you play ? ..... me... I HAVE TO KILL HiM!!!!!!!!!! :)

likely i finished and no more games for me I killed him with no mercy :)

Wasnt this one was it? Optek Fretlight guitar, came out in the early 2000s

Yes, I was definitely reminded of Fretlight when I saw Poputar, (what a stupid name btw, I hate it although the logo on the headstock looks ok), I had the original Fretlight strat, probably 20 years ago, then I got a limited edition in natural pine, which was discontinued and I snagged one of the last ones which was one without pickups, then the deluxe strat with the deluxe setup done by them, and the phenolic fretboard, which plays like a dream. I think they have new models out now that are even more luxe. It is the wireless one that uses Bluetooth. It can work with Guitar Pro software. They are really slow to ship. Worse, mine came with a split between the fretboard and neck at the first fret. I went through hell trying to make them replace it and after they agreed to, it was months till I got the new one and they refused to make any financial accommodation to make me whole for the hassle and delays. Instead, they gave me some capo they sell for a crazy price and some other worthless junk. All the earlier ones had a really awkward power system with a heavy cable and power supply in addition to the output cord. I was heavier than the laptop so it was really aggravating trying to use it.
My Poputar seems to be stuck on the docks in Ca. since xmas. Poputar has a much more advanced system and even gamifies it if one wants. They have a strange price/model structure though. The 36in one can be had with a pickup. The more expensive full size one called the redline, which has a cutaway can not be had with a pickup, and only comes in black while the cheaper, small one can be had in black or natural. One has a battery and the other is rechargeable. I forget which is which. They also come with a stand to hold your phone at music stand height. The pic looks like a nice case too. The app comes with a growing library of popular songs. They are sorry for the delays so they said they will add more songs to make up for it which I don't like as it makes it clear to me that they intend to be selling us songs at some point too. I backed it crowdfunding about a year ago and it was supposed to be delivered by xmas. Ha!
