Any Experience with Laney Amps?

Guitar center has a few used ones right now. The LA30BL that I was referring to is $850. They also have a Pro Tube 30 for $450, Pro Tube 50 for $600 and a Pro Tube 100 for $550. These are all way below Marshall comparables. Obviously not the same level of collector desire as an 800.
Shhhhhhhh.....just go buy one....

Bastarddon and I both have Laney AOR's. Bottom line is, do your research, inspect the amps in question really well. Look at wires, caps, resistors, diodes, pots everything to make sure it is healthy and or working as it should be, or assess what repair costs will be if you want one and can use that repair cost as a bargaining chip.

My AOR I picked up super cheap, wound up finding out Mice had gotten to some wires. I should be able to fix the amp cheaply enough. Other folks have to pay a tech. Not sure anything about the newer Laney's You can ask Iommi what he thinks.

I can't say on the new Laney guitar amps their Laney TI Boost is great. I would pay the extra for a new amp for the warranty
I got this pile of trash from GC or a customer did melted power tubes and fried transformers I think GC and Marshall hit a new low.

Yes! Drive those TSL100 prices back down. Mine still works great. The stupid JCM900 2100 and 2500 have gone up in price over the last few months. I picked up one of each for a grand total. Now people want $900+ for them.

Well the thousands of guitar amps I have repaired though the years the TSL-100 was the worst I have ever seen.
Why ??? melted power tubes shorted out they have a problem with runaway bias and GC will not honor the warranty that was sold
That said my point was don't buy a used guitar amp from GC
Do I hate Marshall's no I own quite a few

Yeah, that voltage leak problem on the main board does seem to cause quite a few issues. I sure do like the range of tones you can get out of it though. My 900's are one trick ponies, but it is a good trick.
