And now the Rest Of The Project.

So as many of you know, I have retro fitted my '59 Melody Maker with a new pick guard and pickup. Which if I say so my self turned out pretty darn nice. BUT . . . . the case that the Melody Make resides in . . . well it is literately falling apart.

So my new project is . . . . ( drum roll) Sewing the case back together. The tread that held the top together just rotted away. Sewing is not in my skill set as of yet, but we do what we must do. This is the original case for this baby, that is why I am taking on this project.

Once I finish the sewing job I will work on the inside and put a new handle on it as well since the handle was gone before I came into ownership.

That looks like good work, and I'm jealous. My Melody Maker case is oblong, black and made by some anonymous case makers.

Thanks Don. Here are a couple more pics. I do have the lid for the inside storage compartment with the Gibson badge on it. That will be place back where it belongs also.

I will keep posting my progress.
