Alright, this is out of the ordinary but i wanted to share this

Let me preface the following with a few things
1) I am one of, if not the worst skeptics you're gonna meet in this world ( i believe damn near anything can be logically explained)
2) I dont believe 99.9% of "paranormal" things you encounter on the web. Seems like there's always some manipulation or explainable coincidence in photos or videos of bizarre things.
3) I wouldn't even consider this as a remotely possible "paranormal photo" if not for the fact it came from my niece and she's even more cynical than I am.
4) according to her, there was indeed a filter on the image, which was sort of smoke/aged and you can see its effect in the upper right corner but this stands out nothing like that
5) Finally, i am not trying to be clever, stir up any "viral" photo opportunities and certainly not trying to scare or unnerve anyone. As a matter of fact, im not 100% sure of what im even seeing here.

But tonight, my sister and niece stopped by and we were talking around the fire pit. Kinda out of the blue, she goes " Oh , did mom tell you about that weird face in my photo?" Of course I said, "huh??" She told me the photo was a selfie she took almost 2 years ago and she had her door open, which faces my sister's room at their apartment. She noticed a week ago while scanning thru it, that a bizarre image was captured in the corner of the photo ( facing near my sister's room).

This is the photo, observe the right side
( her face is blurred out of respect of both her privacy and the fact she is a minor). Admittedly, its bizarre to me and i have no explanation at this point

About 100% of images like this are because of dust or some sort of smudge on the lens. If you notice pretty much all the other specks and aberrations are roughly the same color. I would consider that a greasy finger smudge.
Total possibility. Like i said, im a horrible cynic and skeptic lol i will sit and rationalize this photo over and over and ultimately come to a logical conclusion. The only thing that gets me now, until then, is she admitted to the grainy filter and showed a few photos like this with it on, but that image in the side stands out like a sore thumb and upon a blow up, its pretty crazy looking at a minimum even if it is indeed coincidental

Yeah I hate to be the party pooper in these situations but I am a 110% skeptic. I have absolutely zero belief in the supernatural.

Not that it doesn't make for entertaining movies but that's about all it means to me.
Agree completely. Im a horror movie fanatic and i love reading of the bizarre like cryptozoology ( hey im from the home state of The Mothman and Flatwoods Monster lol), the paranormal, etc. But its because of all of that its desensitized me to hearing about alleged " real ghosts/monsters caught on film!". I just look at it as someone who's easily spooked is going to believe whatever their brains will tell them.

But i aint gonna lie: this photo is one of the rare times in a looong time i sat and got that old familiar chill and went " oook that's messed up" lol

Obviously, your sister is haunted by servants of the devil.
Happens all the time.
But that's what you get (and deserve) for joining Facebook.

Lol i left that evil place a long time ago, nearly 3 years now.

But yeah that is an incredibly weird photo to say the least. It gets a lot deeper than this in the weird factor when you get into fuller story but I'll leave that out from here in the general public ( open to PMs maybe however)

I was actually with a group of six other people once in a situation exactly like you're talking about. All of those six people now believe strongly in the supernatural due to that shared event and I still do not. You can probably look it up: the ghost lights of Switzerland Florida.

Didn't phase me.

I also had another experience where I believe that I saw a military plane actually Frozen in time and space floating about 200 ft off of the ground, not making a single sound and not moving at all. I cannot explain it but I still don't believe it was supernatural I assume that my eyes were playing tricks on me.

Just like @aon says, our brains are highly sensitive to faces, and anything that looks like faces. I would even have to severely distort my definition of face in order to even call this instance a face.

Nope what I'm going to need is absolute unequivocable, undeniable proof, not smudgey fingerprints and dust. I've just seen too much stuff like that in my own photography even
Of course. Like i said, im not advocating this is really anything more than coincidence. Like you, im very skeptical over this sort of thing. I just found it quite bizarre and kinda creepy even lol
