Session 5
Ambassador of Strings & Wings
My summer home is in a large park of 135 acres. Times have changed over the years the park has grown and grown. The park is very well maintained and managed, but know in the last couple of years there have been some thefts more of a common practice nowadays. this past year there was a cart that was parked in the parking lot at front of park near golf course. It had no key in ignition, one thing to remember here most of the golf carts all have the same key to operate so if you have a key it will fit most carts, any way it got lifted apparently someone saw the cart being driven by a man with woman and kid passenger. The person who new the cart thought the owner let these people take it for a drive thought they must be family wrong. Anyway the cart was eventually found in the park. It turns out they stole it took it for a ride. I broad daylight!. Anyway 2yrs ago two were stolen from the park they found the 3 concession roads over from the park stripped down. They got the bodies back, that was it. Any way when i got my new cart middle of last year i decided i would put some safety procedures in place. My trailer hitch is under the front of my trailer. In behind my trailer is a stone pad i put my cart on. Now i have a chain that wraps around the rear axle and connects onto that hitch which no one would be able to move. My new cart which is street legal in States has its own ignition switch which also helps. I also bought locking wheel nuts. Also when we leave the park for the season i have it stored indoors where there is an alarm system in a storage building outside of the park. I have hydro inside my storage shed so when it needs a charge, i park in front of the doors and can run the charge cable through bottom of doors, works great, only thing is its too far away to chain, so i have been looking at bike alarms at Amazon . Anyway i liked the reviews on this, they claim it works good and is loud. I will put it underneath the seat and in some place on the body where you can't see it and give it a try. Hopefully will never have an issue, but if i do , hope it will be enough to send them packin.
