As a youngster, in the early 80s, not knowing what I know now..., I used top really like this song:

(it's still a good song, even if he turned out to be a horrible person and then some...)

So, I had this little beauty, and I would never sell it because it was the best ever.

...was busy doing work and trying to start my business, but was constantly distracted by your terrible folks, guitars and especially the Junior, so sold it... meh... On the up side, the fella who bought it, a gigging musician, who had 22 guitars, now has only 1, the Junior, and swears it's the best guitar he has ever had, plays it every day, takes it out to gigs, rocks her hard, so she gets more love than I ever gave her.

I still have one guitar to go with the THRT10, just a $400 beater for the dog to piss on, the Epi sc special LP ltd ed.

Work is getting tedious, both the work I get paid for and preparing for me new business, so I've done a few trips: Hong Kong (was nice), Macua (meh, won't be going back), Philippines (enjoyed it a lot, just a week, travelling around and doing some research, on the beach, around the capital sightseeing, getting local transport, all great excluding the two bob food...), popped over to Yokohama to watch the rugby world cup final - was great, and would have been even better with a different result... errrm, popping over to Okinawa in a couple of weeks for a looksee...

I've decided that I almost certainly won't go back to the UK now, I'll stay in Korea/Asia for the next four years and start my company here instead (maybe HK if it settles down, otherwise Singapore, otherwise lightening my workload here in Korea to a minimum where they will still pay me...), so I can justify guitar-ing more. You gotta have some relax time.

One amp, 3 pedals, one guitar, one dog, and it's -7 today while winter hasn't started in earnest yet.

I'll leave you with one more before going about the forum:

One comes and one goes...

Would it be really really dumb to drop $2600 on a CS SG special?

Congrats on the business...

I understand when I had mine-- ANd was deep into work and raising a family-- I had this as MY ONLY GEAR -- at all--no pedals-- no tube amps-- and TBTH it was perfectly servicable and fun for the time I had to actually play it ---- which might have been 30 minutes a month on a good month----so.
ROCK ON!!!!

Dude! You need to check out Groovy Beach, California!

Dude!! There's a special someone that's missing from this quote...

Dude!!! It's only dumb if you can't afford it...

The wife? She's in Thailand for a holiday, back on the 21st. Yeah, I need to think about what's reasonable to pay and what I want; I'm even getting the 339 itch, and I always have the SG/LP junior/special itch.

You sold the junior?? Oh well, at least you found a decent new home for it.
Hope the new business is a resounding success.
Oh, a bit of trivia for you,,, Ian Dury used to be an infant's school teacher. Cheers

Interesting; quite a few school teachers went on to become musicians.

The junior went to a better home, but I shouldn't have sold it...

I'll likely get something similar to replace it; there were a couple of guitars that interested me in a Seoul shop that had a one day sale today, but I wasn't impressed with the prices, so I'll wait. I quite like the 2019 LP special, at the right price. There's also a 2018 LP junior (which I could be into at the right price), and a more expensive SG special CS, but I'd need to try it out, really like it and then get the price down (which doesn't happen in Korea...). This 57 below is $1,750 - it's kinda interesting, but I'd wanna hold in me hands and know it was at least the equal of the SG junior.
