....and delightful here in north Texas today.

We rarely get any rain in August - this year we had no less than 7 full blown thunderstorms and/or heavy rain episodes in the month of August. Remarkable!

But yeah.... it's so nice to be sitting on the patio - perfectly comfortable in t-shirt and shorts as I write this.

Reminds me of where I grew up (SoCal).

I was born and raised in Newport Beach. Lived there until I was 27.

I do miss it - and do visit occasionally. But I doubt I'd ever move back. But yeah... it's my hometown (area), my roots. Special in my heart.

Where are you?

When I first moved from Philly I rented a house in Huntington Beach. I then bought a house in Mira Loma (inland) in 1982. In 1988 I bought a house in Yorba Linda, sold that and bought a house in Anaheim Hills in 2005. In 2020 we sold that and move to where we are now in Lake Arrowhead.

Northern 1/3 of Illinois my entire 70 years on this rock. We have all 4 seasons and the extremes that go with it. Sometimes all in one day. You get used to it.

I just went outside and it's a very cool and breezy 68 degrees, meaning it feels cooler than that. I had to run in and grab a flannel, but I've still got my shorts on. We're supposed to be in the 40s the next couple of nights.

I'm originally from Redwood City/San Mateo, but have lived in Vancouver for 64 of my 68 years.
Last night there was a single "clap" of thunder that rattled my windows and scared the absolute carp outta me.
No rain though... :)

Tis 80 F here today and for the rest of week. Very nice for this time of year.
