스쿨뮤직 - Fujigen J-Standard ODYSSEY Electric Guitar (JOS-CL-R/AWH)

I don't need a new guitar, but seems like amazing value for money.

They even have one with a top for $50 more:

Fugigen is known for their high quality guitars and I've read many positive reviews about them. I think the Fugigen factory used to make Squier Strats back in the 1980's from what I remember.

Fugigen made my Burny Les Paul Custom copy and that is perfect. I went over it closely and I could not find one thing wrong. The other guitars from there are just great. At only $700 for a real high end Strat is a great deal.

Circle Fretting System (C.F.S.)
Slightly curved frets are mounted as each string and fret intersect at right angles to minimize the contact surface.
You can obtain accurate pitch, cleaner longer sustain and true harmonics.
*The frets we use aren't special. You can ask your nearest repair shop to hit them from the edge of the fingerboard when refret.

That's from their website. We have a Fujigen dealer here and they swear by these slightly curved frets (of course, they are selling them!) but I didn't try them out.

Also that tuner set is staggered, 25mm-24mm-22mm (2 of each) so as to provide a better break angle from the nut. Too bad they didn't use the locking version:

^ if not locking tuners then the vintage type are my favourite on a Fender style guitar.

the Fugigen factory

Fujigen have made a lot of the Fender Japan strats and teles over the years and Ibanez JEM guitars among others. The problem with schoolmusic.kr is that they don't have a showroom to test the guitars, and I promised myself I'd only buy guitars that I've played.

I have seen many of the Fugigen guitar in Europe. They are still very dear there also. The price is a long the level of a Fender Custom shop guitar. My friends that own them use them as their number one guitar and treat them like gold. I played a few over the years and came away impressed by the instruments. Now they might start hitting our shores. Other high end Fender copies are great but just how much is a Strat copy worth? I mean so me where they hid the money? The Fugigen price of $700 bucks ain't that bad at all. Over $2,000 for a PRS Silver Sky is stupid over the top.

you could probably source a used one (Real USA Fender Strat) for close to that and have me ship it.
