I have no idea Don. It's a solid spruce top.Maybe it's a ply on the back or its just an illusion. I'll look closer when I get home.

I looked closer and it was an illusion. The assemblers didn't clean up the glue that well and it looks like 2 different pieces of wood but the grain DOES line up.

New place is... Let's just say... It's a room in a house and I prefer to hang out elsewhere.

I've been there, sometimes not even a whole room, just a couch. Hang in there buddy, all things must pass and you will then be the master of your domain. Perhaps even renting out a room to your own tenant.
 
Thanks Wav. This city has a low vacancy rate for rentals. It's also quite expensive. Over $800/month for a bachelor's suite and that may not include utilities.

My G.A.S. addiction is happy I don't have kids or a significant other!

Me... I just roll with it.

I will be somewhere else in the future, but right now this is where I am.
 
Thanks Adrian. On a positive note, my band played at a jam night last night and got a good response.

We played four original songs and rocked the country bar. (One song was one of the country songs I wrote so we didn't get beat up!)
