My Artist Series came with their 5 way rotary switch, I ditched that bugger right away and installed a regular 3 way and that was even in a weird spot.

The reverb on the JTM is pretty decent.

+1 on the HK amp. Not the same, but I owned a HK Tri-Amp, it was a monster, but just way to heavy. Another thought, try a Marshall JTM series, they dish out plenty of distortion. I have a JTM-30, it has an XF loop as well as onboard reverb, the also come in a 50 watt version and are still...
