I think that the justification for the use of Weird Al’s help for some submissions would be to give everyone that chooses to work with Weird Al the ability to come out with a “more complete” catalog of material. Not everyone sings…Weird Al can sing for them. Not everyone plays bass…Weird Al has...

It sounds like it’s a “choice” thing…like…you can use it if you want/need to(heck…it would be a learning experience), but you are not “required” to participate in that manner. These Weird Al submissions would require labeling of such content. Also… I could be off base here, but…. It seems less...
