H-H Stratocaster Project???

Here's a neat custom project i put together last year for my Squirecaster, and then elected to go back to the vintage DiMarzios.

Its a pair of my custom wound Humbuckers (17k x 16k Alnico VIII) and a custom made, 50's style cloth harness with separate bridge and neck tone controls, featuring a .033uf bridge and .015uf neck K40Y's, Bourn pots, .015" aluminum pickguard shield and relocated volume knob on a multi-ply, 11 hole pickguard.

These are the last two of my prototype humbuckers - loosely based on a DiMarzio Super Distortion.

Anybody interested in trying this setup???

IMG_8248.JPG You are making a Les Paul less one knob. I bought a new Telecaster Custom built in 1973 and I liked the tone but I never knew why. I was testing a Les Paul and I didn't want it because it sounded just like my Telecaster. The sales girl called for her boss because she thought that I was high and hitting on her. I told her boss that I wanted nothing to do with her. The boss was the hot one and smart. I said Telecaster Custom and she knew right away that I was not that high. She knew what was going on and my confusion was pure.
Robert you can drop acid and have some woman withxxxxxcc ! You see my point?

I won't be sleeping easily tonight! :D

I have the rattle can with the orange they call fiesta red. A white pick guard, rosewood neck and locking tuners for it. Pick ups from back then, they smell like L&M cigarettes and that is what my folks smoked in 1962. The next build or toss together will be a 1962 orange Strat.
