If Epiphones are welcome, I have more...

Here's the 2017 Standard T, still with silly sticker at the time. Changed knobs to speed, and switched out kidneys for tulips.
This is the only SG with a pickup change - I replaced the bridge 57 classic pup with an Angus.
However, I still prefer the sound of my Faded T with 490s.

No longer using the Echoplex pedal, but otherwise, same pedalboard for the past two years.

Aah, yes. The Gibson SG. My first "real" guitar was a Gibson SG.

Here it is: My 1974 Gibson SG Special, "The Kraken," with my own tailpiece extension:

And, a close up of the same guitar:

My other SG is a 2014 Gibson SG Original 2, which I've named, "The Titan."

A close up. It's finished in Dark Cherry and looks great in person.

The Maestro vibrola also stays in tune well with moderate use.

My pictures were on PhotoBucket but they made it to Google Images by typing in "BlackSG91"...presto!:) I bought it back in 1991 over a black SG Standard because of the ebony fret board. It feels really great. The guitar also came with the 490R/490T pick-up combo which are both Alnico II magnets for that smooth classic rock tone and it handles clean sounds real nicely. It paired up nicely with my Yamaha RGX Custom guitar which also has an ebony FB and 24 frets. When I got my SG I thought I would set it up for slide guitar...but that didn't last. I set it up for regular playing after because I loved the guitar so much and I wasn't very good at slide guitar.

I love these kinds of threads...

My two beauties are both SG specials:
The Silverburst is a 2012 SG special "70s tribute" with Block inlays, Mini Humbuckers, Oversize headstock and volute.
The Brown one is a 2007 SG faded special, which remains the best guitar of any kind that I have ever played.
I've modded that one with all the best of everything I could buy or make.
